Senior Product Manager, Monetization

PubMatic seeks a strong Sr. Product Manager to work on our Real Time Bidding and Machine Learning products in the monetization product team at Redwood City, California. At PubMatic, we thrive on innovation and excellence, delivering cutting-edge products to our customers worldwide. Within PubMatic, the monetization product team is responsible for the product strategy and roadmap of all of PubMatic’s monetization and ML products. As a Sr. Product Manager, you will join PubMatic’s monetization product team and will directly report to the Sr. Director of Product for Monetization and will be responsible to support various products in the monetization product portfolio, including several ML products such as traffic shaping and QPS management algorithms. This role provides an experienced PM with a unique opportunity to work within a high impact product team.

A successful candidate is an experienced PM with a proven track record of managing product roadmap and has a passion for using data to drive product decisions to make a direct impact to company’s bottom line. You have experience running A/B tests as well as evaluating various hypotheses through experimentation. You can go deep with engineering on technical details but are also able to communicate seamlessly with non-technical members of the organization. You are focused on results, a self-starter, scrappy and have demonstrated success in using data to build great products from the ground up. Prior Adtech experience is required to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for creating the product vision, strategy, design, and execution of your area of the product portfolio.
  • Drive product development in collaboration with engineers and designers.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and attend industry events; Integrate the insights gained into idea generation, product requirements and product prioritization.
  • Define success metrics, analyze and track performance metrics regularly.
  • Support and communicate a clear product roadmap to clients, internal teams, and company executives

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in product management.
  • Proven track record of collaborating in technical environments with diverse, cross functional teams to shape product vision, develop product strategy, define product requirements, coordinate with different teams, and guide the team through all milestones.
  • Experience in building products from concept to launch (0 to 1 products).
  • Proficient in analyzing complex, large data sets and using data-driven insights to make informed decisions.  
  • Strong execution and communication skills.
  • The position will require some domestic and international travel
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, Information Systems, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of real time bidding and monetization.
  • An extensive background in product management in ad tech including monetization, RTB, header bidding
  • Demonstrated ability to make good decisions based on loosely associated fragments of information.
