Job Description: 

The Solutions Engineer, Activate at PubMatic plays a critical role in bridging the gap between technical capabilities and business needs of our Activate buy-side platform. They work closely with clients, sales teams, and product managers to design and implement customized advertising solutions that meet client objectives. Below is a detailed job description for a Solutions Engineer in our advertising ecosystem. This position is a critical to the growth of our strategic partnerships with agencies and advertisers, as well as the ongoing evolution of our buy-side product suite.

 

The responsibilities will include partnering with the Activate team by designing and executing implementation plans for customers, collaborating with product management and engineering teams to coordinate resources, and supporting the Activate platform along with other buy side products to drive opportunities and to optimize the customer relationship.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customer-facing teams to identify business goals, opportunities, and client's objectives and assure highest level of adoption of PubMatic buy side products.
  • Collaborate with account management and sales executives to educate your clients, grow your portfolio of business and ensure buyers are up-to-date on PubMatic’s constantly evolving suite of products and solutions.
  • Actively respond to high-level technical escalations for demand side clients relating to integration issues, discrepancies and any other technical issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and product managers to solve complex technical problems including campaigns optimizations, pacing and API workflows.
  • Troubleshoot advanced technical problems including performance issues, measurement discrepancies, and latency improvement.
  • Troubleshoot campaign setup and performance issues across multiple channels including Display, Online Video, and Connected TV
  • Provide feedback to product managers to ideate on platform and product improvements for our buy side customers.
  • Become a platform expert who can consult and educate buy side clients on new product updates, platform best practices, and industry news across programmatic advertising.
  • Become a point of person for all of our buy-side product and solutions built for agencies and advertisers.

 

Requirements:

Candidates for this position should be proactive, respond positively and actively to challenges and pressure. Confidence to handle problems and work with a people across a diversity of functions is required. We seek a person who can take-charge, is ingenious and practical in finding solutions to problems, and is decisive and venturesome in putting solutions into action. We are looking for a person with the ability to motivate people in the process of getting things done. Demonstrated team-building experience and an active network are preferred.

 

  • Must have a Bachelor’s and/ or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Should have 1 to 5 years of experience in Python, SQL, Database tools and moderate knowledge about web based applications, Web server/Ad server/Mozilla Firefox and how to work on different web based browsers.
  • Proficiency in ad tech platforms (e.g., Google Ad manager, DV360, Tradedesk, Amazon) and experience with digital advertising is a major plus.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, SDKs and integrations workflow.
  • Familiarity with Programmatic advertising, RTB and adserving protocols (e.g., VAST, OpenRTB, etc)
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights to optimize campaigns.
  • Experience with data visulizations tools(e.g.,Tableau, Looker) is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide creative solutions to internal and external customers.
  • Experience working with clients, product, and engineering teams - with the ability to break down complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Compensation Range: $112,000 - $128,000

 

In accordance with applicable law, the above range provided is PubMatic’s reasonable estimate of the cash compensation for this role. The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. PubMatic offers a competitive bonus and benefits package, as well.
